Such as the source for the electric energy that is used for charging, if it is not renewable then there will be an indirect carbon footprint which can be considerable.
In addition there is recyling problems of batteries, how will we dispose of batteries which complete their lifecycles. They contain highly toxic material to land and sea if not recycled (as I know currently not possible) or destroyed properly. Think of such a process when we have millions of EVs in the future.
Maybe it is better if regulators focus on reducing gases in the intestines of cattle than exhausts of our ICEs.

Dropped the old girl off today for service. Purchased 16yrs ago when she was 3yrs old the Silver Arrow was the last of the R129 run. I can’t imagine I’ll ever get rid as I’m not one to change just for the sake of it and besides I absolutely prefer the 129...

I'm a big fan of the R129 model. The R230 model is nice, but the fact that all USA models are equipped with the ABC suspension (which can be unreliable in the USA market) makes me shy away from it. The current model is simply too in proportion, so I count...
