The New Lamborghini Huracan, A Work of Art!

 By: patrick_y : May 22nd, 2014-18:37
PuristSPro moderator Patrick_y shares his thoughts about the new Lamborghini Huracan. The Lamborghini Huracan is the latest new car to come from the house of Lamborghini. Patrick compares the new Huracan's unique design with modern art from the past centu...

Great theme for this Lambo.

Thanks for the review Patrick. I really want to take the Huracan for a test drive, I think my garage is ready for a piece of art. JerryW.

I'm happy with the Huracan as a work of art...

The Huracan is such a work of art that I don't need to actually drive it, but I'm perfectly happy with it being a static sculpture or hanging it on the wall. But if you could own one and drive it, and admire it with a glass of wine in the garage, that'd b...

This is art to be driven.

If I owned one I would drive it every day. JerryW

Thank you for reading Nicolas. I'm not a betting man, but I would imagine you're probably fond of cubist art.

Nice job, Patrick.

I like the hex theme going on. But I also note that the stylists got to the steering wheel... I'm no fan of flattened bases and thumb cut outs/lumps'n, bumps.

Try it...

 By: patrick_y : May 23rd, 2014-10:12
The bottom flattened out steering wheel is actually a nice thing. Especially if you have a quick steering ratio, your hands don't really get onto the flattened part, and it really makes a small but noticeable improvement during ingress and egress of the c...

Might I suggest wearing gloves while holding onto the steering wheel? Those thumb cut outs will actually fit better.

How do you clean them?

Clean?

 By: BDLJ : May 25th, 2014-18:13
What is this "clean" of which you speak? :-) I probably washed them once...in the sink with some plain soap...semi-dried them flat and put them on damp...STILL the suede shrank and became a bit misshapen and hard. Bit of a pain breaking them in as they we...

You got it...

 By: patrick_y : May 26th, 2014-11:30
I find it a pain to wash gloves. It's always a very difficult process. I'm trying to find a design that is NOMEX only without any suede (some have rubber grip patches). This should make it easier for wash.

Searched the...

back of the cupboard because of this thread. Found my old blue and grey gloves - oh and they're Sparco not OMP...goes to show how long it's been since I've needed them :-)) Nomex on the road? What are you planning to do?? :-)

Driving normally... Just driving normally. Racing gloves are long...

 By: patrick_y : May 28th, 2014-22:56
Racing gloves are really long and the nomex doesn't scratch the gold or platinum cases. Keeps the watch dial out of the sunlight. I sometimes wear my watch on the right wrist just so the lume isn't constantly in the sunlight if it's a really long drive in...

The design ...

....insane! Very funny, though. In the mid90s, I remember getting stuck behind a blacked-out BMW who was attempting to parallel slow reversing, abrupt stops and about a dozen attempts... Walking past the car later, we couldn't help but notice a Batmobile...

Ahh!

 By: patrick_y : May 15th, 2015-10:00
Steering wheel is good for batmobile driving, just not batmobile parking! And I was just about to think, why don't more people cut off the tops to their steering wheels more often?

Nice review of the Huracan

I like how you captured the details with the hex styling. Very cool looking car. Regards, ED-209

Very Cool Indeed!

Don't get too close. It bites.

Simply stunning.

I would love the opportunity to drive it, to feel it. I have a feeling it would be unlike any driving experience I have ever had. Thanks for the review and photos, Patric. Best, californiaJed

Go for a test drive CaliforniaJed.

I had the chance to experience a Huracan for lunch two Wednesdays ago. It's definitely a fun car. Have to be careful going in and out of driveways, the car has a suspension that can be raised. Didn't go very quickly as it was all local driving, the lunch ...

you have dealerships that are near. It'll be a problem for me just like the Aston, so it's not for me. I like the Huracan design, used to think Raging Bulls are too edgy. The interior flip switches or buttons are nice. My next one will have to limit to Po...

I love them all...

If you can handle an Aston Martin like the Rapide, you can handle this edgy Lamborghini. And if you don't have dealerships nearby, that's okay, I'll fly up to you, drive it to the dealer, stay with the car overnight until it's fixed, the drive it back to ...
