The early reactions say more about those reacting than about the vehicle.

As with watches, our tastes vary and to each his own.
My first reaction to the new Tesla pickup truck was entirely positive, seeing it as brilliantly designed, more beautiful than any previous pickup truck, and perhaps even exceedingly functional because of the rear ramp.
Then I read the mocking reactions, incredulity, and revulsion of so many early responders. Many assumed the shattered window incident a design flaw; a few assumed it a brilliant marketing stunt.
It would be interesting to know the correlates of these diametrically opposed reactions.
