I’ve bought a number of cars despite knowing they were crap. In general I mean, not the specific one I bought (I hoped).
Recently I got a Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid. I bought it rather than lease - partially to get the rebates and such, but also because it’s the right combination of space, power, features, eco-friendliness for let’s say 5-10 years. I’m not going to flip it in 2 or 3 years.
I know it’s a good car because after 8 years making and refining 200,000 of them, GM discontinued the Volt, Ampera, Velite5, etc. Proof all the bugs are worked out! And now more than enough on the market to ensure parts availability.
