The original 190SL.
A cheaper lighter toned down version of the mighty 300 SL with the gullwing doors (Mike correct me if I’m wrong) but nowadays the 190 SL is a true collectors item.
Many years back when we lived in Texas, there was a 190 SL displayed next to the highway into town with a price tag of $ 10,000 (was 1984). I wanted to exit the highway and put an immediate deposit on the car. However we were on our way to the mall and my wife insisted we stop in the way back home: Mall first then Mercedes.
By the time we finally made it to Mercedes the 190 was sold. Literally half an hour before we arrived.
Fortunately my wife made up for it later and she bought me a crème colored 190Sl
