...and I have to say that it really showcased the car's tech in a good way.

From the 'spy' shots I thought the car would be a bit squarer, but I am happy to see that it is beautiful, sleek, and understated.

Always a fan of red leather, I only wish MB (and BMW for that matter) had an option for a deeper shade of red. BMW's red is almost orange and not attractive at all.

If I were in the market for a $120k sedan, this would be my only choice.

Since the new Rolexes are (yawn) how about a new S-Class instead?

 By: cazalea : September 2nd, 2020-05:44
Introduced this afternoon at 1500 GMT; this is taken from the virtual press conference livestream. The latest S-Class is scheduled to arrive in German showrooms in December; US and China market launches are expected in February 2021. Here's just a taste o...

Looks fine to me

But that first pic is really "in your face" It will be technological fireworks. Certainly a good choice if you have long, transcontinental trips to consider

You'll need at least 1000 km just to figure out how the center display works

I dozed off during the explanation (maybe that's the idea; the car drives and you sleep)

Very mixed feelings about this one

On one hand, i think it looks very good, and the interior still looks luxurious (as it must with an S class). While on the other hand, the interior with all those screens doesn't look so up-market, and now has an Audi A8 feel to it, which is not necessari...

I got virtually distracted by the Aug 30th presentation on camper vans

where M-B has grafted in their MBUX digital interface to the van so you can use the digital screen to navigate, book a campsite, check your propane, extend the awning, lift the roof, and drain the sewer waste. Luxury where you need it, at last...

And without a doubt a wonderful technologial tour de force but no LCD screens in my car, thank you, I am spending enough time in front of monitors already!

I owned w140, w220, w221, w222 and certainly I am ready to replace my w222 with this latest 223.

I always wait till the 1st “facelift” of the model before I replace my current S class as I believe by then Mercedes Benz would have iron out all the glitches by then. So far from the videos, I like it very much! Thank you for sharing wonderful pics. 🍻 Ja...

Mercedes Benz produces great cars indeed, however...

I much prefer my launch room for relaxation, space and comfort not to mention the ease to get a release at ease. Cheers, Francois

I came to the conclusion there are some cities where you are not supposed to have a car, Paris being one of them. So till I move it’s fancy electric bike time.

Aaaah you were there!!! [nt]

At least it’s not the Magic Roundabout like the one in Swindon, UK. Things could be much worse 😅

I can’t help but think that the world has moved on ...

It’s physically bigger in pretty much every way than the car it replaces and the engine line up was probably thought to be good when this car was being planned.

Perfect word by Capt Scarlet

IMHO the S class always set the benchmark. I personally agree about the seemingly over complexity of the display but perhaps it is the new begining of "S-Class level automotive" display of the future.

True. Let Mr chauffeur take the S-course

I would rather spent time for something more fun (reading watchprosite undoubtedly 😂)

That's a solution. ;) [nt]

I think I can't get used to the cheap looking steering wheel with those black shiny spokes. The AMG wheel looks much better and should have been the standard wheel. The lower center console, made of black shiny plastic called "Piano lacque", looks cheap a...

The look like iPads stuck onto the dashboard. Bring back analog instruments!

I think it’s an improvement and am a 550 owner. However the navigation system sucks,,,they should outsource

And the rear seat screen look cheap. The 7 series knocks the pants of the Mercury for gadgets but the ride in the s i prefer

I bought the current model S but didn’t like it

Because the car s controls were confusing, complicated and took too much effort to learn. After a while, I sold the car
