Quite an amazing time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

I attended the Good Goodwood Festival of Speed in it's 25th year over the weekend. Set within a sprawling 12,000 acre English Estate near Chichster in West Sussex belonging to the Duke and Duchess of Richmond, the estate and grounds themselves are fabulous with Golf Courses, a hotel and of course the stately house itself forming the backdrop for what is the best motorsports event I have ever attended. Between 100,000 and 150,000 people converge daily over three full days to see some of the rarest cars in the World and in a unique manner watch all of them race (more or less) up the through the estate along a 1.2 mile hill climb. Many of the car makers now do first releases here and this year was no exception with the new Toyota Supra as an example making a showing.
As a Porsche enthusiast, the 70 year mark was celebrated as a central theme.
Something for everyone from F1 cars to Supercars to antiques.
Highlights for me included the Mercerdes Project 1 car, Porsche Mission E, McLaren Senna and several McLaren F1's (Rowan Atkinson's prior owned), Porsche Number One, Porsche 919, 918, new Speedster and more historic 911's and Ferrari's than I could count.
Photos to follow.
