"Real" dry sump vs. "integrated" like on a Cayman or BMW M3 is not really a big deal IMO. The main difference is true dry sump creates vacuum in the crankcase, reducing windage loss. Even though the AM engine is dry sumped, the max power is lackluster compared to Porsche engines. Oiling reliability is pretty similar if the scavenging pump configurations are comparable (e.g. the Porsche M96/97 were missing a scavenge pump at one corner of the engine, so you could get oil pooling there, but you need a LOT of lateral G to starve a BMW S65 as it's got each cylinder bank at 45 degrees and scavenge pumps in the heads).
