Physics rules always and everywhere

I would not drive with family fast. These SUV give one the feeling, false suggestion, that they are safe under any circumstance. But if you hit something too hard with a Bentley or a Fiat 500, as you when you were driving too fast, the result is in both scenarios the same: your organs still want to travel that fast, but not the car anymore. That leads to compressions of organs that can end deadly.

After an impact greater than 40 G the safety belt cuts through a body like butter. But I assume all modern cars have a safety belt tightness release mechanism. At least I would want to have it in a car.

Same is with the old argument of Volvos of the 80ies: it was well known that Volvo is using thicker steal which sounds like a safety feature but it isn't as the thicker steal does not absorb as much energy as a construction using lighter steal but offering more areas of impact absorption.

Anyway: one must like it and that is the only reason to get it.

I would choose a quite appealing VW transporter or a Mercedes transporter if I had family in mind.
