Okay, some quick thoughts.

One way to categorize Chevrolet’s Corvette is to think of it as the ROLEX of supercars. It is not at all rare — there are a helluva lot of them out there. Those who own them often flaunt them, sometimes obnoxiously, but also cherish them. Elitists who don’t know better thumb their noses instinctively, but of course there is no denying the performance capabilities of this car, particularly in C7 form.

I won’t bore others with the specs, or track times — they are widely available. I will say that from the seat of the pants, mine, a C7 Z51 with magnetic ride control and a plane Jane torque converter 8 speed transmission, is an absolutely hoontastic adventure to drive, with torque and horsepower galore and a suspension that keeps her planted despite my novice hack driving skills. She puts a grin on my face before I ever even sit my fat ass behind the wheel. I stare at her like she’s Farrah Fawcett in a bikini every time she catches my eye. So does my 11-year-old son. (But he would rather have a Hellcat!)

A couple more shots of mine followed by a split window 63 and a couple of nice c3 examples.
