Yea, the problem is that it was his mom's car, and while he was off having kids and working, she was letting it rust
Now she has passed, it was hers for 40 years, and he can't bring himself to junk it.
He may take a sawzall to it, and turn it into a "convertible" because it's not worth anything and the bottom half is solid enough.
More solid than this Volvo!
