Nice looking motor, but not sure why they’re targeting such a high power output.

The Rimac Concept One, the car which Richard Hammond crashed whilst filming for The Grand Tour, makes do with under 1250 PS (1225 BHP), and manages to hit 60 mph in 2.5 secs, and tops out at 355 km/h. Given the Lotus is lighter by ~10%, the power being ai...

The Rimac has moved on with Concept Two - it's now 1914 hp

"the new 2019 Rimac can jolt from 0-60 in 1.85-seconds and has a top speed of 258 mph, with a maximum power output of 1,914 hp. The C_Two draws its power from a 120 kWh pack that can deliver two laps around the Nürburgring circuit at full power, a little ...

Thanks. Hadn’t checked to see what Rimac were getting up to presently.

Things seem to have been rather quiet on that front, and likewise other brands who once hinted at great things a couple of years back – Lucid, with their Air model, and Faraday Future (FF91).

LOL ! [nt]

My "boring" Chevy Volt can do a 100-foot burnout (ask how I know) with traction control still on

How you know ??????

I NEED to know !!!!

Lots of torque 400ft lbs / 540Nm off the line

 By: cazalea : July 30th, 2019-08:36
GM says 2.5 sec for 0-30 mph. Motor Trend says 2.2 seconds. Recently we had to make a rapid start on a blind corner intersection and were stunned by the noise and tire smoke. Here are some charts so you can be properly impressed by the mathematics. Compar...

2,2 to 30 mph (48,5 kph) is impressive for such a car (so are the charts) !

Is it FWD or RWD ? Or AWD ? Plays a big role in a zero to low speed measurement. First pic shows the acceleration of my 280 hp/390 Nm (not from standstill) Megane RS, should be 2,10 to 48,5 kph .. on a very good day this is. If you push it too hard it wil...

BTW .. noise and tire smoke are always cool :-)

I'd like to see some results from the upcoming Tesla Spyder 's 1,9 seconds acceleration to 60 mph !

I hope they can raise their game in terms of quality

I love Lotus but they've never been known for quality or fit-and-finish. I certainly hope they are able to raise their game significantly where a £1.7M car is concerned.

What you say is true...

But believe me when I say that this car will be a different story on many levels.

You almost killed me with these photos.

I love the aesthetics, but would have preferred a traditional engine. I’m environmentally conscious, but how much pollution do such limited vehicles with petrol engines really emit? Especially when the mileage is almost always so low. This in a mid range ...

No atmospheric engine in a production road car can match ...

The performance and we all need to be breathing in less particulates.

Tesla now offer a “fart generator”

To liven things up 😮

A redundant feature, surely, for those with their own FG!

That was a different tradition: Lotus One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven

Then they gave it to Caterham The E series was a whole other path.

You forgot Evora! Here's a more complete (and non-E) list

From Wikipedia. This does not include bicycles or other vehicles developed for non-production purposes ...
