Front wheel bearing replacement Audi Q5.

I start by removing the wheel.

The driveshaft bolt need some heat.

It's hot.

Furthermore, I remove the brake disc & brake caliper. Note how the light metal corrodes, which means that forces are required to separate the parts.

So I bring out the tools.

I start by removing the hub.

It went well. Now the drive shaft is loose so I can reach the bolts on the back more easily.

When the bolts are unscrewed, I use them from the other direction in the same threads when I bolt the plate.

Furthermore, I pulled off the bearing housing in the same way as the hub and it was firmly attached.

Here you can see how the correction takes on the metal.

Here I pull off the bearing part that remains on the hub.

Then just put the parts together.

Then I take another press to help.

And there it was all complete.

Assembly takes place in reverse order.

A nice job when you have the right equipment. T here are films on Youtube where people do it with a sledgehammer, it will not be quite the same.

. . . I weighed fifty pounds less and could do at least five sit-ups without taking a break.

Nice job
