It's finally time to get rid of my 26 year old daily driver for something...older.

After what seems like a lifetime of happy ownership, I'm finally giving up my trusty 1994 Mercedes E420.
Since my wife's Jeep is always at the end of our driveway, I rarely use either of my daily drivers--the Mercedes and Jag.
I've been basically retired for the past 16 years so what little driving I do is usually in my wife's car since it would need to be moved to take any of mine out. So I recently realized I don't drive even close to 1,000 miles per year with either of these two cars, actually not even 1,000 combined! Plus I also have my 356 and MGB which rarely see the road, these two sharing driving time among nice weekends or evenings, spring through fall, with the occasional brisk winter day thrown in.
I bought the '86 Jag XJ6 last summer just because the opportunity arose and I always admired them. At that point the Jag started to replace the E420 as my choice to drive when my wife had the Jeep out. It's gotten to the point where I take the Mercedes out just because I feel guilty letting it sit.
So I mentioned I should probably get rid of the Mercedes to my son and he immediately said he'd like it to replace his old Acura. I'm actually thrilled by this idea! The car can stay in the family and it will make a nice gift for my son, he really likes this car!
Now the Jaguar will become my only 'daily' driver and I don't have to feel guilty getting rid of the E420. So I've traded in my 26 year old daily driver for a 34 year old one and I couldn't be happier!
