I'm pro Mid-Engine! Thus, the Cayman appeals to me!

I remember considering the Cayman R back in the day when it was launched back in 2011 in the Peridot green color. What a cool looking color! The car was expensive at the time (around $90,000 USD with a few options, just shy of $100,000 with taxes and registration). Power was down a bit, the horsepower wasn't especially high. Ultimately, I got cold feet. Despite encouragement from some friends. In the end, I think I spent the money on a watch or two.
This generation of Cayman could still spin out. But was much easier to catch than the 911, which is almost impossible to catch for someone of my skill level. But someone of my mediocre skill level could sometimes catch the Cayman before it actually span out.
Overall, the Cayman R has not become a special item. Compared to the 911 R. But I still think about it sometime. As it probably would've been a great Porsche vehicle for me. There were other cars to consider as well. The 2008 Mercedes CLK Black Series had this impressive wide body kit and also possessed great handling. This Cayman R's dry sump system wasn't a true dry sump neither, so in prolonged corners, the engine would have oil starvation. The CLK Black Series didn't have a dry sump neither, so it would also have oil issues in a longer turn too. So in the end, neither of these cars met my requirements.
