Interesting post. When I was young 50 years ago a 911 was a rare iconic car. If you came across one it, it was special. Roll forward it is still a magnificent machine but two to a penny here in the UK. This detracts from its appeal now I think. Rolex has

But this was the worst sales year in the last 20. These are reported “registrations” which lag sales claims by quite a while.
