I saw this morning that Martha Stewart drives a DB9 with manual transmission. She was using it to deliver a neighbor some eggs.

She probably has to be cautious....

But I have the utmost respect for anyone who can drive a stick shift these days. A real watch has no date and a real car has a manual.

Put 99.999999% of kids today in a car with a stick and they would not know what to do

I taught my 3 boys each how to drive a stick when they were learning to drive. We all got frustrated but it really pays off. Now that's all they want to drive.

In complete agreement ;-) That's how I (and everybody else) learnt how to drive in Italy, at least 23.5 years ago when I was 18 (and probably still to this day)...

Manual transmission is IMO the only thing that requires some learning when we drive, and then it's the only option we have to really feel we are driving the car... Too bad this is being lost today (at least here in the US, but I see the same now that I re... 

My daughter will be taking her driving test next month. Upon passing, she will be one of the few youngsters in Singapore with the licence to drive a manual car.
