You feel like you always have to be there to justify the expense. We have one and we only used it 5 times last year not too mention all the upkeep costs. Been contemplating putting it on the market just to test the waters. If it sells it sells if it doesn't, well then I guess we tried and we keep it.

Specifically tire / road noise in these cars is surprisingly bad
A little extra sound deafening would go a long way. It's not terrible until you hit the wrong road surface for a bunch of miles while on a conference call that you realize part of the legendary 911 practicality is lost to high cabin noise

Manual, light weight. My 992 carrera t is as fast as I need for my roads
I'm also not a fan of huge wheels which also degrade comfort...

My opinion after a week with a 992 GTS …
In a nutshell, the chassis is too stiff for many roads. It’s still a beautiful car.
They come regular with S-PASM (lowered)
Can option for free PASM (raised)/ non-sport height. But in general cars are getting too low, too firm and too fast for me on the roads
I agree, the 991 and below is all I look at owning.
But it's not just Porsche, all the new Ferrari's have lost the appeal to me as well.

That's where I'm at.
For one my wife is indifferent, would rather stay in town as we always have something on the weekend. Then in addition if we aren't going to it, easier/cheaper to just go to a resort and not have the hassle. TBD for now.
I told my wife if we buy this house then we vacation here. She was OK with it for two years, when the kids were too young to travel.
Now she wants all her vacations and the house. I'm like pick one or the other already as paying for both does not make sense.
It's getting new suspension, new speedlines, new big red brakes, new flywheel, new clutch, 98mm mahle motorsport, new turbo
and complete top and bottom engine rebuild with a machined case. These vintage are a labor of love and cost with an emphasis on both.

Can't compare the drive as the purple one I bought for my dad and it quickly went into the shop to get sorted. Had my 993 turbo for about 3 weeks and then sent it in to get that sorted as well as it had the turbos leaking. Vintage is another animal every ...

I miss my 997s, but, am loving my Boxster, alleged purists by damned 😂 My slightly over 300hp keeps me in check, and I love the mid-engine, and actually like driving it more, but, certainly appreciate the 911, it is such a gorgeous beast!
