Good choice! What I have learned (today):
"Strictly speaking, it's incorrect to talk about a 'beamer car' (or 'beemer car'). The correct term for a BMW automobile is 'bimmer' - 'beemer' and 'beamer' actually only refer to a BMW motorcycle."

Good decision to switch back to the bimmer.

I’ve never driven a Bimmer diesel but others have told me they are very fun. I just drove past the local BMW dealer and noticed that the majority of the inventory on the lot were SUVs. I wonder if the impending fuel price hikes in the US will shift tastes...
The price for the X5 etc here is crazy. Even my one with vat and vrt / vehicle registration tax both in total close to 20k which makes sure if you import from the UK it's not worth it.
Plus on the windy roads I drive the saloon is better for me . Cheers S

I'm on my second 5 series. Having owned both BMWs and Mercedes, I much prefer the BMWs.
My last one was a 212 E class
I actually liked the mix of handling and comfort. There was quite a bit of body roll indeed but I did not mind too much. Currently experiencing life without my own car, and I like it so far!

Cheers it comes with the digital dash. This is the m sport with upgrade packs for internal. I didn't go for the m sport plus. but there are a few upgrades. Comfort pack, digital etc. There won't be a new model till 2024
