NA; hydraulic power steering (if power assisted at all...)

Dear KMII,
I'm an analogue man trapped in an increasingly digital world. (Of course that digitalization is a hoax but a hoax that more and more analogue humans believe...)
Early digital music reproduction literally gave me a headache; today I tolerate it.
Even Lamborghini is more Audi today than it is old Lamborghini; even the Huracan Performante leaves me wanting more...analogue humanity.
Last great drivers Lamborghini was the Murci SV imho...though the Aventador S comes close, but both because of extreme visuals, awesome sensory stimulation (aural - intake, exhaust, deep throated wail of NA V-12) and not necessarily because of butt feel.
Just came back to office in 4C - on a well known to locals local road hill pass known as Sepulveda pass, I could feel everything the front tires were feeling - every skip or rut in the pavement; every pebble, every unevenness, every undulation. It was alive and talking to me.
Early Cayman and Boxsters had great steering feedback like that, though the Cayman / Boxster were deadened in other ways.
Brand? Porsche. Alfa Romeo. Maybe Ferrari. Some current Lamborghinis. Pagani.
Cars:
997.2 GT3 RS
Murcielago SV
Aventador S
Ford GT gen 1 (2004)
Dodge SRT Viper (started out HATING it. Learned to respect it. Then came to love it.)

Power to weight ratio seems more than average I'll have the Lambo please or the non-turbo P-car if there is one Seeing the bikers in leather gear i guess it's not rally hot either Bim
Weather was a little too warm for my taste - had to run AC

The Huracan was loud and raucous but beautiful from every angle (like the 4C); the Cayman S was well driven and ...well, like a perfectly balanced P-car. π most of the year the weather is not too hot for leathers.
Is it a well known road for having fun?

I remember several videos on youtube and the environment look alike. I guess no speed trap there ππππ 4C for me
Looks like a great day.

As I believe you are well qualified to pass judgement, how does the 4C work in comparison? The car magazine reviews were not particularly complimentary about it, so interested to hear the opinion of an owner instead And if I already asked you that - forgi...
Alfa Romeo 4c vs Lotus
By: ThomasM : January 6th, 2018-12:23
Hi, KMII, The Alfa is classic Italian - lots of personality (some would say temperamental, others a PITA) I personally love it - one must fight it, love it, always respect it, learn to trust it, and ultimately find peace with it because one will never tam...
Surely both helpful and interesting :)

Allow me one question as a follow up - you say you have no interest in Lexus and Audi. I assume weβre talking sedans, not sports cars? Either way, what would bind you more instead? Thanks a lot for the quick summary on the 4C!
Lexus and Audi - I have LOTS of respect for their tech and QC but

Even their performance models leave me cold...I remember something a hard core track rat friend told me, comparing his BMW superbike vs his Aprilia / Ducati: take the BMW to the track, race, go home and put it away. No urge to keep riding. The Aprilia and...
Fully understand your reasoning...

My question is which brands - and I know thatβs a problematic category today - on the whole represent the Ducati category for you, rather than the BMW motorcycle in the car sphere? I can guess that Lamborghini is one and Alfa might be another. Any others?...

the Alfa, my target this year. Drove, loved and hated it, so it generates emotions for a moderate budget. Just what I need. Cheers, Dirk
