Specs say 0-60 in 5.5 sec. That's about 3 minutes better that the original. Hold on to your hat! ...  

But with that said, the price is rather excellent as well.... Kind of the inverse of what the original VW Bus was aimed at....

That 0-60 time is insane but to put it into some sort of perspective in the early eighties (my youth) a Porsche Turbo 3.3 litre hit 0-60 in 5 to 5.5 seconds and that was considered to be really fast. I know supercars now do 0-60 in low 2 seconds but even ... 

With electric cars even much more so, as a more powerful engine costs only very little more. This was part of the early Tesla marketing genius, to give the Model S stupendous (for the time) acceleration. It got the car out of the ecology niche and added f... 

The further they get from their Dirt Worshipping, Tree Hugging, Granola Eater reputation the more people will think of them as automobiles instead of political statements. And I know you're extending the argument out to sports cars and track performance b... 

Which also generally handle like they have bricks for wheels but accelerate at rates not strictly necessary 😉

Although you seem to have a more rapid version in the US - the fastest one in Germany (GTX 4 Motion) only manages 7,6 seconds for 0-100km/h. As still a largely first gen VW electric product it’s not all it could have been but hopefully that will improve 🤞...

The range...aren't most electrics more like 300mi instead of 230ish...? The cost...I would have agreed until I started looking at comps. See chart compiled by Motor Trend (October 2024) So obviously a bit of variation but still they're all pretty expensiv...  

That id busses i see a lot, like manny model 3. The Renault 5 is hip and cheaper and brings out nice memories. The 4 is just launched, but i did not seen yet in the wild.
