Fine if he found it that way, not cool if it was degraded to this state.

If it was a question of whether to drive or part-out a salvageable older 911, I applaud the choice to at least keep it alive for the next (hopefully obsessive and deeply wealthy) guy to revive.
Alternatively, it might be a salvage title wreck Frankensteined together from five other wrecks. In that case, I'm also cool with it.
But if this was an INTACT car prior to being degraded to the brink of a failed state inspection or pole position at the 24 Hours of Lemons, not cool.
Best,
Tim

Bare metal, rust and similar aren't my taste. This could be fun for some bronze patina fans. I could enjoy having it look well used and not all polished and shiny but this is too Mad Max for me.
Could it be a wrap?

Not to my taste either but imagine if it has a Ruff high performance engine, suspension and brake system and a sub 3 seconds 0-60 what fun you could have with the pretty boys supercars. Marc

It’s fun to look at rad rod pictures for me. Want a rat rod or more, no. Hot rods and shiny 911’s are for me dream machines. I like to wash cars, and a rat rod need no car shampoo. Fun to see that Bugatti in the middle of an Egypt city. Should you park yo...

Personally I don't mind as long as it's not fake

I've seen the below 911 with a rust wrap in my area a few times before, which I find hilarious considering most of it is plastic and aluminum (Photo Credits to Japanese Photographer Shinohara-san I believe) ...

I kind of like it

The older I get, the less I like the perfectly manicured look. There's something about having enough confidence to not give two f**** what others' think, even if your car is a rust bucket. At the end of the day, do you, manicured or not.
