There are a lot of special aftermarket bushings that can give your car a more direct feel while being not only track focused.
I suppose this car has an LSD as standard, are you going to refresh or replace it ? The advantage of an LSD is simply amazing, even on my FWD Clio. A friend of mine has a E36 trackday car, he payed peanuts for it and was ready to go. It has the standard diff welded so it crazy bonkers for drifting out of tight bends 😛. Offcourse you can’t really do that for a streetcar or semi track car.
A couple of years ago before i crashed my BMW120d i took it to a drifting course, other guys came with BRZ’s and one Miata, all equipped with LSD’s. My 120d had the auto gearbox and open diff .... this made it totally useless to have some fun, once i got it into a drift I wasn’t capable enough to keep it long. Even out on public roads i tried several times and on many occasions it just snatched sideways. Untill one day i totally wrecked it while just driving not careful enough. That was the day i returned to FWD 😂.
I have also been thinking of turning my Clio into a trackcar but had the same thoughts as you. At least now i can still drive to the track while not having to put her on a trailer.
Have fun, be safe.
