Cruisin' an avoidin' a bruisin’

We gave the old 2CV a bath this afternoon, then set out to the beach.
It was crowded, a trash truck had broken down in the parking lot, blocking lots of cars in, and we beat it out of there without taking any pictures.
We cruised to Shelter Island instead. Things were happier there, with sunshine, lollipops, fun cars and people enjoying themselves.
This tiny yellow Lotus caught my eye due to its color, and because the owner was struggling and almost had to crawl out to escape his car. I can tell him from experience that he should have taken the top off.
Then we saw this new Aston -- I had no idea they were so BIG!!
Low, but long and wide.
A bit like our wide-arsed Corvette ... it's the curse of modern high-performance cars (Lotus and Alpine excepted).
But we had fun in the sun anyway. (Meanwhile my brother who lives 2 states north of here is winterizing his RV today ☹️)
Cheers,
Cazalea
