Citroën!

To warm us up for the WristScan theme this weekend,  I thought that we could look back at what could have been the most incredible car from Citroën.
The Citroën Karin is certainly avant-garde. Designed by Trevor Fiore and unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1980, the Karin featured an unusual pyramid-shaped body with four glass walls and a roof that was no bigger than the size of an A3 sheet. The car featured butterfly doors, and its controversial (at the time)  pyramid shape resulted in a bilaterally symmetrical cockpit that had three seats in a row, with the driver sitting in the middle.
You should have launched it Citroën !

... and TVR should have made the Trevor Fiore designed 'Trident' a series model in 1965

but unfortunately they went bankrupt and had nothing of the excellent publicity the car got at the Geneva Motor Show (on the stand of Fissore). Fiore had already then created a revolutionary style, with enough detailing and subtle curves to avoid a slab-s...

TVR continually has money problems and ...

as for the build quality... what build quality !

Here we are talking about a Fissore built steel body on a TVR chassis

The quality (particularly for a prototype car) is absolutely amazing. For example, the doors close with a sound as experienced with real quality cars. In comparison, I was recently shocked about the tinny sound of a Bentley Turbo R door assaulting me when...

Very interesting vehicle

but I just can't get over the pairing of that Citroen with the Andre LeMarquand Spaceman watch!
