Belated Xmas present

New rubber and not for the wrist for a change!

After two sets and more of 40,000km of road & track with the ad08r I decided to go for something a bit different and went for the ps4s:

As someone who uses a single set of wheels for the street & the track the ad08r - steer clear of the ad08rs if you're after performance - is a fantastic choice: superb grip, easy to control at the limit and can take a lot of abuse as long as you manage heat & pressure appropriately. Construction is typical of japanese high-performance tyres with super stiff sidewalls and a soft compound peeling off copiously on track days but it will clean itself nicely after a few kilometers of highway use:

I expect the ps4s to be a notch lower in terms of absolute grip while providing a bit more comfort, although I've never had any complaint about the 08 despite being on aftermarket suspensions. I don't go to the track as much as I used to as such I don't mind the potential time penalty.
Anyway, one more shot for the road, I love the sidewall prints:

The sub was on duty today:

Wishing everybody a great week-end!

They do look a bit like the OZ

But they are Yokohama Advan RS2, a popular choice over here: www.yokohamawheel.jp

Indeed, they look very close...

...

The spokes of the RS2 are machined cut for further weight savings

Shaved a whopping 4.3kg per corner going from the OEM 18"/Dunlop (22kg) to the 17" RS2/ad08r (17.7kg) combo, quite a game changer as you can imagine. Haven't weighted the PS4S but they feel a bit lighter than the ad08r.

I think they are much better than AD08R

is that 4C?

We'll see

I think of the 08 as between the 4s and the cup2. I like the 4C but I like stick and I need 3 seats, it's a mito QV.

ah very nice compact

IMHO 08 is only nice when its dry. I have had some unexpected experience when it is raining.

Nice one!

Good tyre choice ...

Just explore the handling by slightly varying the tyre pressures.

Nice choice!

Very nice! I'm thinking of getting a set as well!

I'm thinking of ordering a set as well. I've had PS2, PSS (Pilot Super Sport), Pilot A/S3+, and Pilot A/S4 tires. I can't wait to try out the new PS4 tire. I've driven the PS4 on the Tesla Model 3 Performance and they seemed great!

Mine are waiting to be mounted.

First iโ€™m going to completely destroy my Conti Sports 6 which btw were a whole lot better than the standard Bridgestones on my Megane. But what really annoys me is the fact you have 215/45/17 Pilot sport 4S which are the size for my Clio and donโ€™t seem to...

234 / 45 / 19??? Wow!

245/35/19

Sorry for the Typo. ;)

Isn't that ( 19 ) too big for the Clio????

Apparently Michelin added 17 and 16 sizes recently, my size wasn't available when I bought my last set. Internet ordering is your friend, I had doubts but got my two previous sets online, what a wonderful time we live in! I bet the 245 is for the trophy? ...

Searched the net ...

Smallest i can find is 18 inch strangely. I used to order tires online and had a friend mounting them on my wheels, but i happened to discover a small tire business just 2 km from my door, equipped with the best machines and takes a lot of care in mountin...
