Porsche's new position is to raise prices on consumers by about 20% with moderate refreshes in about 2-3 years.  Also, keep longer model lines (7-10 years instead of 7-8 years) to save on chassis redesigns with 1-2 facelifts instead of just one face lift.  Now that it's a separate stock, it's got it's own shareholders to take care of!  Funny, Porsche stock is now more valuable than VW!  From the stock financials part, it doesn't really make sense.  But overall, expect Porsche cars to become more expensive.  For the money, you'll get better infotainment systems.  Porsche promises to get the best infotainment systems onto the market and they will focus more on this instead of on power-train focus that they used to have.  So!  If you have a Porsche now!  That's great!  If you don't!  Well, better get one soon, as they will raise prices by about 20% soon!  The 911 Turbo will soon cost as much as a low end Lamborghini!  Hence why I keep on saying the Lamborghini is a great deal!  It's just a little conspicuous!  I'd get mine in grey - less conspicuous color.  Lamborghini is the current supercar bargain.  But soon Lamborghini will be increasing their prices too as the brand is now HOT and no longer has to play second fiddle to Ferrari.

Back in the saddle (or drivers seat)

I’m ashamed to say today was the first day I’ve driven this baby in 14 months. Life gets in the way. It was good to remind me of how much fun this car really is. The fortunate thing about this one is that you mostly just have to start it up and go. The sa...

Awesome! :)

You’d have had something to look at too.

When I was hanging out someone came back in with their DB11, the only AM in the space actually.

Nice ;)

From all I read and hear, from folks with far more car knowledge than I, you are not alone with that thinking.

Btw, did you ever have a license plate with “FastWong”.

I'd say that's worthy of being a long term hold!

What a machine! The S54 engine's strengths and weaknesses are well known. The 6 speed manual is good. Keep it as stock as possible and just enjoy it! A future classic! I will expect to see this machine on the Pebble Beach Concours one day, and definitely ...

That’s where I’m conflicted honestly.

My brain says keep keep keep, don’t be a fool. There were ~1800 of these produced for NA from 06-08, it’s not something one sees a lot. But my heart wants something else, which was the original plan. And unlike watches keeping this and another is not viab...

Yes, find more storage! That is the solution!

And you have to drive it more often! 14 months! Poor machine!

The Society For The Prevention of Cruelty To Motor Vehicles...

will be sending you a letter, reminding you to drive your car in the nice weather months! (joking of course)

I'm going to fathom a guess. I'm guessing Jay(Eire) wants to make room for a Porsche!

I really like BMWs. They don't have double wishbone suspension and this era of BMWs didn't even have fixed brake calipers. But the suspension tuning was just done so good, it's the perfect balance of sportiness and luxurious comfort. I had a V8 5 series B...

I could actually remove it, it’s not as if it’s being used for anything.

I guess it’s just a reminder that this is a car from the past.

There’s a decent amount of modifications but all the original parts are in storage.

Wheels are APEX EC-7 18”. The suspension was modified to MCS double adjustable coilovers, Vorschlag front camber plates and an H&R adjustable front sway bar. The suspension was modified by the prior owner who races BMWs in the endurance race scene and was...

It sure does.

Very cool car

Drive it more. Tell us about the mods, it seems wheels, diffuser, exhaust and spoiler? They look great.

See response above.

mine was a ragtop and my current m240i has same dimensions, same rag top, just some other more modern bits and pieces, but there was nothing like the smooth sound of that motor when it got warm.
