Aaah, my friend, I like your philosophy. For me too, a car like this or an Alpine is used 95% on the roads and 5% on tracks.
I love cruising for 500, or 1000, or 1500 kilometers in one day. The feeling of the trip, te feeling of freedom, of adventure.... With a nice car, even better. And these are perfect for that.
Now why the 4.0 is more my taste? Because of the fact that, for me, Porsche is 6 Cylinders, not 4.

the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 GT4 are different cars. The GT4 has a completely different suspension, wheels, tires etc. and 420 hp vs. 400 hp. The look is different too and, of course, the price. 😂

My direct neighbor has a GT4...great car. Very pure. He has done a fair amount of upgrades, not that any are needed. It's an amazing drive and sounds terrific.
