Why not

It's a fine line like homage watches. I know of a few miura replicas, although most of them are powered by v8s not v12s.

Amazing car! Yes!

Yes! It is a beauty, much like how a German brand made a homage to the deepsea special: Credit:Worn and wound ...

Not a huge fan of replicas but you wonโ€™t see a original on the streets that often .

In full agrement with George Gently - the real thing is the thing! โ˜บ๏ธ

Yes for me ๐Ÿ‘ and even the replicas tend to be out of reach.

Some of them are really nice too.

A definite 'no' for me--the real thing or nothing.

I didn't know anyone was making replicas of bent window Pre A coupes and, although it appears well done, this would be no different to me than owning a fake Patek or Rolex. I do understand the appeal, especially since the price of originals has skyrockete...

Looks gorgeous [nt]

Interesting...

The red Mobil Oil pegasus emblem on the fender is often seen on modified "Outlaw" 356s so I probably wouldn't even have recognized this as a replica and would just have assumed it was an Outlaw restomod! Good catch. For me, replica no, hot rod yes. I did ...

Simple. When something is pretending to be something it's not...

Namely an exact copy of an original displaying the same brand name and hiding different internals all in inferior quality.

I am OK with that. [nt]

Absolutely, Yes

 By: cazalea : July 27th, 2020-10:18
Not that I need a replica as I have four original old cars and (this month anyway) they are all being a pain in the arse. :-( Cazalea

I'm curious how many of those who voted 'yes' to a fake Porsche would also vote 'yes' to a fake Rolex.

It's interesting to me because a while ago on one of the Porsche forums members were discussing fake cars, with almost everyone saying a fake Porsche, at least if badged as a Porsche, is unacceptable, simply something meant to deceive. But most of those s...
