Yep, the Boxers have that raw look and feel of a sports car that one needs to learn how to drive properly.

No nanny electronics to save your butt, if entering or exiting a corner incorrectly ;-)
Unfortunately, those days of cars are long since gone and while the environment is and will be better off, our enjoyment of driving for the visceral feel is disappearing right before our eyes. The old sayings stand, "Time marches forward" and "Nothing in life stands/stays still" however, not all forward progress is good for us, even though we might believe it or be lead to believe it. Cars & Coffee down near where I live is always massively attended and these machines will still inspire passion and excitement I hope for many moons to come.
Steps off soap box....smile

The 5 speed and front engined V-12 gets my blood moving...the lovely 550 Maranello in red with tan interior.

This classic and lovely specimen was parked by where I walked Monday am and I had to snap a couple of pics... Enjoy! Cheers, Tim ...

Exquisite machine!

I always wanted to try driving the 575M Maranello which is based on the 550. Very cool car.

Yep, me too. I’ve had clients own these, but never got to drive or ride in one.

Closest I’ve got, is a 512TR which was an enormous thrill to drive. Love the looks of these though.

Hi Patrick …

As I have had the pleasure of owning one and driving both of these two, I recommend trying both cars if you get the opportunity. The 550 is a very good Ferrari to drive. The car is very well judged as a complete package with an epic engine especially with...

Good to know!

I was primarily looking for a 575M with the Handling package. But they've gotten too expensive now. And I also want a car that I can drive on a daily basis. And like you said as well, I've been told that there may be situations where I don't love the padd...

There were a couple of these in Tokyo...

...when I was there. One was parked in an outdoor lot under a freeway. The other in the garage of our building. Really beautiful...a manual Ferrari is a grail for most : )

Indeed!

Silly Ferrari quiz...

How did Enzo come up with the color Fly Yellow?

Giallo FLY - According to Enzo's mistress Fiamma Breschi

And in 1963, the Lamborghini Sports Car Division was born in direct competition to Ferrari in the road car market. Interestingly the meeting that kept him waiting was also when the idea for a striking yellow Ferrari was conceived and also in 1963, the fir...

sitting at a table and drinking too much wine, a fly kept landing on his hand. After a while he couldn't help but notice the fly's bright yellow eyes, or so the story goes

ROTFL

Interesting!

Fascinating, thanks!

For some reason, I did not like it when it was released in 1997 or so (because of the bonnet scoop)

But today, I consider it one the classiest prancing horses of the last 30 years (tied with the Roma) The new 296 GTB could also be part of this select group of good designs: to be seen in the metal

Fir green with biscuit interior for me would do nicely, thanks

This, to me, will always be the last really great Ferrari.

It is such a fantastic car. Love it.

If we are going on tech, then Tesla really is the top dog...

But this Ferrari has soul. Like the Countach, it gets your blood pumping. There is something so special about a car that kill you because it's in a mood.

For me it would have to be the BB512...

preferably a triple black convertible

Solid choice.

I remember a day in school when another kid was being picked up by his uncle in a 348i. The look and sound, oh baby, the sound. That Ferrari growl... They certainly don't make 'em like that any more. To me, modern cars with their poppy whines lack that ha...
