Unfortunately - financially - I chickened out after 7 years of ownership of the 250 SWBC and stuck to the 300 SL.

As mentioned: In the end the 300SL is the better car to really use. Where would you park an alloy 250 GT on a trip to your favorite coffee shop or on a weekend out? The real bummet was the 904. It had barely more than delivery miles on the clock in 1976.
I finally realized that I can fit a lot more watches into the garage than cars....
Happy Holidays

Thanks for posting a reply with the superb photos. Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to buy one from a dear friend that decided to dispose of his including the fitted luggage. We all make mistakes !

What makes the 300 SLs so special today is that all parts are easily accessible and a good selection of specialists around. So they would even make an uncomplicated daily driver... There were others that I regret and dearly miss today... ...
Thatβs a great lineup Richard...

Did you ever finish the restoration of the Ferrari ? I must find a few old photos of my own to post. Thanks for sharing them with me.
The Porsche looked spectacular...

I have a friend that raced one back in the 70s. Watches and cars are a great combination.
