Need wings to fly ? Ducati V4 Superleggera ! Keep your daughters inside ๐Ÿ˜†.

Today i was lucky enough to have a close look at this beast, 234 hp for 152 kilos ...... there, i said it , nothing more to say ? A Ducati Panigale looks nice from any angle, okay those wings might be a bit over the top but they do make a huge difference ...

Fabulous ! ...

Difficult to think how they will make a better one.

And yet ...

 By: bimbeano : January 15th, 2021-15:57
... they always do ... well better in terms of hard numbers, maybe not in terms of fun.

Soo true, numbers say a lot !

But not the whole story. Numbers are fascinating, but you canโ€™t explain fun in numbers

+1!

And buy ...

 By: bimbeano : January 15th, 2021-16:00
.... an extra 205 GTI

Of course!

 By: amanico : January 15th, 2021-16:01

Amazing is understatement

 By: Gelato Monster : January 15th, 2021-15:51
I believe those wings are necessary for safety

They do help ....

 By: bimbeano : January 15th, 2021-15:59
... at very high speeds ๐Ÿ˜.

wow nice fun grin, your teeth is full of roadkill bugs ๐Ÿ˜†

Damn gorgeous bike

Cool to see how it's constructed, but that's too much for me

I'd feel lucky to be alive after riding a 180 kilo bike with 234hp. Maybe for world superbike track competition, but it's probably tough to enjoy it at road speeds. I'll take an air-cooled Moto Guzzi for the road. Best, Tim

Hehe 152 kilo with 234 hp.

After having done a few 100 km with the standard 174 kilo and 214 hp Panigale V4 i can only guess how much easier this Superleggera must be to ride on the road. You can enjoy โ€˜lowโ€™ speeds on this bike but the problem is that you can very easily enjoy extr...

Actually....

.... back in 1995 ish i was riding my CBR 600 at 240 kph next to my friend on his Kawasaki and just for the fun of it i was waving at him while overtaking ๐Ÿคช. This is a iphone shot from an imac screen showing a head cam movie on the autobahn(hmmm hmmmm๐Ÿ˜œ) i...

In Bermany? :)))

In Gelgium, thatโ€™s between Nrance and The Fretherlands.

ROFL!

 By: amanico : January 15th, 2021-16:21

Wow thats one amazing machine.

A true beast imho . With that power to weight ratio (and price tag)its almost scary to drive i guess . Thanks for sharing

Probably not soo difficult to ride for most people.

 By: bimbeano : January 16th, 2021-10:45
Anyway, mere mortals, even good riders wonโ€™t be able to use 50% of its potential.

Stunning but I wonder how many of these will ever be ridden properly

 By: djmus : January 16th, 2021-05:06
My V4S is already plenty fast so this must be insane. Canโ€™t imagine taking something of that value and rarity to the track and these are way too much for the road. The wings donโ€™t generate downforce until you are well into triple digits. Personally I donโ€™...

My guess.

 By: bimbeano : January 16th, 2021-10:48
Once you get used (๐Ÿ˜‚) to the โ€˜normalโ€™ V4 you probably wonโ€™t yave any difficulties with this one. Like you say, maybe 50 will be ridden from time to time, maybe 100/200 will be ridden once a year and a handfull will be used on a regular base. Another deale...

Why were the original wings banned after 2016?

 By: ArmisT : January 16th, 2021-06:44
This is an amazing feat of engineering.

Because of the size i guess.

 By: bimbeano : January 16th, 2021-10:49
I think the year after there were some regulations concerning size because it would probably get out of hand ๐Ÿ˜‚.

My pleasure !

It probably is as close to a MotoGP as you can get, along with the Aprillia RSV4. But back in 2007/2008 the Desmoseidici was pretty much a real MotoGP bike, be it with a detuned engine to last longer and some less exotic (expensive) materials where possib...
