Oh yeah, the years when Maserati tried to broaden it’s spectrum and target group. The Shamal was a true biturbo beast. You needed an excellent mechanic to keep it healthy. Maybe I should have a look for one of the few remaining Shamals here in Germany. At least I know a specialist for the mechanical part not far away from my home ;-)

Looking back, it is the only car that I really regret selling. I've heard about Maserati's alleged problems ad nauseum. My experience having owned from that period: 430, 2 X Ghibli and a Shamal is that they were not nearly as bad as the press dronings sug...
