My first was a 242DL with a 4 speed
It was a hand me down from my parents. I got it with over 250,000 miles on the clock and proceeded to add another 150,000. Despite my best efforts, it was sold with the clutch it left the factory.

Did you know that in 1979 Norway and Sweden agreed the the Norwgian government should take over 40% of the shares in Volvo in exchange for oil rights in Norway. The shareholders said No.
Now the oil fund in norway just has a market value of NOK 9.718.612.000.000,- Maybe a wrong decision for Volvo and a great outcome for Norway 😂 Just some fun facts!!!
