I used to have a good solution for that.

Actually i still havea good solution, i take my 205 and park it 1 or 2 cm from another car 😜. When i was still driving my old Golf tdi ( with a lot of scratches and dents and rust) i parked it in the most difficult parking spots and preferably extremely close to the big car that was parked like a dick.

If there’s one thing I hate about driving, it’s tailgaters. People with no depth perception, who follow a car length behind on the highway — whose headlights don’t even appear in my rear-view mirror. Even when we are not in a pandemic, that’s just too clo...

The honor of being first to the party! Wellsir… That is one honey of a car. I share all of your pet peeves. And as nice as my XC70 is, it can't hope to "black the boots" of your 2CV. I just

can't get over the ultra-coolness of what I'll call the "pinnacle of geek-dom!" And people! "Jesus Comanche!" as my father used to exclaim. (Little did i know then that J.C. was a prominent figure in Texas history.) We are still only millimeters farther a...

Fred, I had XC70s from ‘98-2018

I took both of them to the ocean and the desert and Baja But in the end, the White one got traded in on the Blue one, and after 16 years I was ready for a change and didn't want to pour $6-7000 into the old car to refresh suspension, gearbox, etc. So th...

Though I seem to have lost your entire answer (which I saw last night but waited until this morning to respond to), I particularly like the white one you had.

And your thoughts on cars and local environments. Yes. It does matter! We're good here in northern Iowa, of course. The SoCal rhythm I can't even imagine! Where did you come down on the Saab/Volvo argument? When I bought the 850 Sport Wagon in '95 (drove ...

Jesús Comanche

 By: cazalea : May 23rd, 2020-15:44
CUELLAR, JESÚS [COMANCHE] (?–1841). Jesús (Comanche) Cuellar, member of the Texas cavalry during the revolution, bore the name Comanche from having been a Comanche captive. In 1833 he was an alferez in the Mexican army in Tamaulipas. He was a guide for Do...

Yep, this is the dude. I can still hear my father's voice in response to things that were getting really bad. Today in response to the US virus death toll. Yeah… Jesus Comanche!

Very kind of you to dig this up, Mike. I'd done the work before, but good to read through again; it's been a few years. FH

I love your 3CV

And yes, i share the same thoughts you have about the parking and equally stupid people trying to squuze their SUV’s in much too small parking spaces. I actually do wonder why anyone wants to drive an SUV but it seems to become the new standard. Filip

Easy question

 By: Jurry : May 24th, 2020-02:30
Why people want an SUV is pretty simple: how else can one ride their kids to school where youngsters to cross 28 speed humps and climb and descent at least 50 ft elevation differences over a track of 5 miles; for sure you would need an SUV 7 seater 500 bh...

Hahaha !

And in Europe you see more and more mini SUV cars driving around, some of them are hideous and some seem to be okay. Maybe one day i’ll buy a 3 cilinder 100 hp Renault Captur .... naaah .... 🥶

Please

Don’t, don’t you ever do that and don’t you ever say that again. Haha.

Neighborhood

 By: Jurry : May 25th, 2020-11:36
What kind of neighborhood do you live in? Haha. Come to think of it, I have a boat with an 8 cylinder engine, all I got to do is put some wheels underneath it. You know what, your neighbor is actually pretty smart guy

I used to have a good solution for that.

On that I totally agree. And I belief parking in dubai is the worst I’ve seen in the entire world. Parking slots are typically pretty large well lit etc but somehow everybody wants to park right at the malls entrance doors. Don’t laugh but we usually park...
