(pic heavy) First track day since the pandemic

I managed to escape for a few hours to burn some rubber, hard to believe it's been 10 months since I last went but boy it felt good! I thought some of you may enjoy a few pics!
Temperatures were in the low 20s Celsius with a wet track until mid afternoon resulting in some spectacular slides and spins although nobody got hurt or went off track.

The domestic makers are always well represented, like this FD2 Type R with 170,000km, still going strong according to the owner:

The S2000 is still a popular choice:

But Integras are getting a rare sight, unlike the Civic:

Obviously it wouldn't be Japan without crazy wings ;-)

Because, well InitialD ;-)

Nicolas will appreciate this fake number plate:

Another Japanese classic:

Nothing is quite as satisfying as a dirty 911, especially when it's a GT3 at a track day:

But today's star was another yellow 911:

Smoking a cigarette waiting for the next session:

This 73 Mitsubishi Galant FTO was still going strong:

Today's oddball choice went to this driver with an automatic turbo diesel CX5!

When you've really made it, someone drives your cars to the track on a flatbed ;-)

On the way back home I was lucky to spot a Carrera GT, a Citroen DS and another 911 owner living the dream!

And last but not least, some watch content with my partner for the day, a porcelain dial, Ti case Seiko:
