What’s the base movement used for the triple calendar offshore

Aug 13, 2018,11:14 AM

I’m SERIOUSLY considering it
I love the design and the fact it only has the crown no other buttons (chrono) also I particularly love its 38mmm size which is like the reverse offshore or the negative offshore
It actually wears bigger than 38 due to its somewhat thickness
Definitely not the showy offshore but rather very discreet

What is my fellow community Purists brothers think of it

Useful complication, very well structured dial and great case diameter. Maybe it’s a bit thick. Best, Volker

Unique and agains-the-grain

I very much enjoy the case size, and that dial really calls one to look closer as it does not align with the 'standard' offshore layout. One irksome thing that I notice is the small seconds at 6; I understand it adds overall balance to the logo/date windo...

I think it's a JLC 8XX. [nt]

Riddler, I love that watch. I own it in both the yellow gold execution as well as the while gold version. I've had them for years and haven't tired of them They have the heft of the 42 mm Offshores but not as big on the wrist, which is a nice variation on...

Totally agree

As you have mentioned, v nice design, not so showy, and more wearable size. I also like how value for money it is for such pieces in the pre owned market compared to other pieces like the royal oak

I love these kind of pieces - road less traveled.

Yet full of charm and character! J

IMO a great value proposition over more standard variations. But two questions to make 100% sure I would be happy - 1. Does month chapter ring impose too much on the dial and make it look

too small ? 2. Would I be happy with the overall balance and the spacing of the week & month display and the second hand ? I haven't seen the watch in the flesh so just my opinion based on photo's. Best rgds Will.

Great Piece

It does wear larger than it looks. Very functional and looks great.
