Is the bracelet more satin than current ones?

Not exactly, it has the same grain as the bezel but over time has smoothed out to look like Satin but isn't, also the original 5402 bracelets are more elegant and smooth than the post 2012 40th Anniversary pieces

Great posts my Friend. Did the bezel on the last sample get removed and intentionally installed with the grain direction going across the dial? So weird to see one like that... I am short-circuiting here.!

On Second thought, there is a possibility when it was serviced that they installed the grain diagonally

Either way, to be assembled at AP like that... unacceptable! Unless maybe the client requested it be re-oriented for some reason. Who knows!
