...my ‘83 Sub has been beat to hell and back and I’ve never had the urge to get it polished during very few services. I also insist on not touching hands, bezel, dial, lume, etc. Leave it alone except for a movement cleaning and pressure test.
If they are your scars, then I would keep it as is
If not, then send it to AP or trade up to one in better condition if it bothers you. Be well!
