This AP 5402 is really a step up from the 15202.

The dial is black/gray/tropical. The bracelet is so thin and beautifully wraps around the wrist. I love it. I think it is under appreciated relative to PP 3700.

Yikes, I have seen that on some samples over the years. Looks like the AP logo angles in the other direction from center. Maybe just your pics.

But although I fully appreciate its importance and historical value from a collector point of view, I just cannot see under which other grounds a 5402 could be any better/nicer than a 15202.

NOTHING is better than the 15202st. NOTHING!!!!!! I've owned them both and far prefer the new. I think the vintage 'matters' more but I would take the new in a heartbeat! Nice watch. very nice watch. VERRRRRRRRY NICE WATCH, sir.
