The old style was often called as "rain drops" bezel vs newer vertical lines bezel brush... they changed all models to vertical lines brush after the first batch of RG and SS 44mm ROOs....

I could see the charm of the old vs the elegance of the new! Wonder if itโ€™s considered more difficult to do the raindrops or the vertical lines? Peter

The older ceramic appears more grainy.
