Jim, you told me you’d heard this does very rarely happen and that if it did AP could easily make it right. Coincidentally then this exact thing happens and AP does make it right but now you swear off rectangular pushers? After stating?

This is my fourth ROO: I love the designs of these watches -- this one will be the keeper. By: Jim14 : February 11th, 2021-12:49 In a serial fashion, I have had the first gen Safari, a titanium Schumacher, and the stainless Panda. None of them was much more "durable" than this one -- stainless, especially, is prone to scratches and dings. The Schumacher seemed a bit large for me. This one ticks all the right boxes for a watch that I can shower with.

The Story of My AP Royal Oak Offshore Disaster . . .

 By: Jim14 : July 10th, 2021-14:10
Well, the time has come to tell the story of my AP Royal Oak Offshore "Carbon" -- a very dear watch indeed. I did not care to relay this story until the watch was safely moved on to a new owner because I didn't want to "taint" the sale in any way. One day...

Glad your seller stood behind the watch. Obviously, this situation has nothing to do with AP.

The reality is, as watches change hands, how does one really know the history? I received my new 43mm Offshore a few weeks ago, and it has a 5 year warranty, If my pusher falls off in the next 5 years, AP will replace it at no cost. I like having a factor...

I can attest the after sales services from AP boutique is top notch and boy do I needed that!

I own 44mm in RGx2 and SS .. my own tough luck, all three of my ROO44mm have technical issues. They either stopped or the date wheel jammed and the chronograph second hands will not return to the 0 position ie misalignment issues. My first SS stopped comp...

Interesting story

A real journey you made with the Royal Oak. Read the story, maybe the imitation basel is more a protection basel. Token off to save the original. So the first seller maybe had the original basel, stored in a bag. Forgotten to give. My way should be, hold ...

What an ordeal !!!

A horror story for sure. Imagine if the pusher hadn't have fallen, and you sold the watch or gifted it to someone; it would have eventually looked like you had sold someone an imperfect watch. Anyway, glad to hear that it's all over now. Just don't let it...

Not sure about what this has to do with AP Jim, sounds like they acted perfectly responsibly...

and the watch was completely restored to original and is warranted for two years. I had mine sent to AP for full service as part of the condition of sale. My watch came back as new and I couldn’t be happier with it or with all my dealings with the brand. ...

True or not, it has nothing to do with the jimmied sample you owned.

You were wearing a watch with a fake bezel. Who knows what else was done to it along the way. Problems happen for sure. I own or have owned a handful of ceramic pusher Offshores and have never had a single issue. I will go by my own experience instead of ...

Crazy story, glad it all worked out! Thanks for sharing, I didn't know fake ROO bezels were even a thing but seeing the price for a new OEM one I guess is makes sense....

 By: Fastwong : July 10th, 2021-17:52
Back in 2014 would this watch have come from AP new with a ceramic or a carbon bezel? I suppose back in 2014 if my carbon bezel got chewed up and a replacement ceramic bezel from AP was $2250 + $1500 + 6-8 weeks I might have tried an aftermarket bezel too...

It is unpleasant surprise

When you take your watch for a smallish fix and you hear a sum of nearly 4 k dollars before anything has even been done.

ROO rectangular pushers have nothing to do with selling the watch...

In February he actually told me about the rare risk of this happening and said “ have to warn you of one other thing -- some owners of these pieces complained that the titanium "trim" on the pushers fell off -- I looked into this...Again, I felt that if s...

The comments I made in February were well before I had any knowledge about the swapped bezel. And the decision to sell off the watch was after the pusher fell off but still before I knew about the swapped bezel. And I made that decision for the reasons st...

Thank Goodness all is now well

My ceramic pusher fell off!

 By: kennygfunk : July 16th, 2021-01:38
I LOVE AP, but to be honest, I've never purchased an AP and not had an issue: a crown popped out (2 different offshores), the paint on a tachymeter peeled off, and a ceramic pusher fell off! AP should invest in more rigorous testing! I'm sure it's challen...
