The challenge with that tantalum picture is that I can’t tell if it’s black/white or color…

and if it’s color then I can’t tell which. Honestly, I thought it is Orchard Road like in Nico’s picture, but the bezel is not tantalum in his, so I’m stuck 🤔
But as far as top 5, that isn’t enough! There are too many interesting ones, but I like the following (which aren’t limited to LE pieces only):
1. Schumacher
2. Montoya
3. Vampire
4. Safari
5. Elephant or Ghost (very similar).
But then there is special mention to the platinum ROO (although i don’t like the blue/white dial color way); panda 🐼; and the recently discontinued black all-ceramic piece (not the music ceramic).
I wonder what others would list🤔? For sure there would be a lot of Schumacher and Montoya fans. The other 3 would be an interesting competition!

The many faces of the Offshore

Today I was listening to podcasts about the history of watches. It beats listening to the radio or music, because I can dwell into the wonderful world of watches. In the 90’s, there was no instagram. Cell-phones were cellphones and people actually had to ...

My Two Favorites.

My favorite is my »Ghost Safari »

I love it because of the comfort of the titanium / ceramic combination and great match with the Safari strap ...

Lovely Ghost

What straps do you have for that stealthy beauty? Nothing like grey which can be worn with any colour. And in titanium and ceramic too!

Brown AP hornback alligator or black rubber

The strap which initially came with the Safari. Perfect match with the grey dial ( I hate the standard bi color light grey coming with the watch, it feels super cheap)

Wow u had the Pablo Montoya

Lovely piece. Rmbered a post of a lucky guy who bought it used, and posted his progress on this forum. He used toothpaste to clean it so nicely. Don’t see him here for a long time now.

The Lebron James edition.

Here, MichaelC reviews this Bling Beast. Diamonds on the pushers, so unique. www.watchprosite.com

Great post. 👏🏽

What is the name of the tanatalum LE that you posted above? It looks similar to the Elephant, but that’s not an LE. Otherwise, the Montauk Highway is a new one to me, and is charming mainly because I know and have traveled it a number of times. Interestin...

Oo I just googled the Montauk Highway

I wonder why they chose a road to commemorate. Colour scheme is very nice though. Here’s a challenge AmisE, I won’t give u the answer to that LE yet. Can you find out what it is?=D Also, what are your Top 5 ROOs of all time?

With the bezel screws becoming a little bigger and bolder, like some bolt on a car. Ah, that LE you were wondering about, is the Sincere Watches LE, made for a large retailer in Singapore.

Oh my goodness, I just looked up the story of this rare Sincere ROO…

that is truly as beautiful as it is rare 🔥 Then this one easily goes to the top of the list, wow. Thanks for posting.

My only Offshore . . .

. . . and I love it. Ref 25770 (same as End of Days). I love the numeral font, slender and sexy (the opposite of me 😄). It may not look it, but the strap is the most comfy strap I've ever experienced by a long shot. Thanks for the interesting post. M4 ...

Thank you!

And the strap looks like M4 really wears it

It’s always good to see an AP worn like it should be. I think M4 has one of my top 5 fav offshores. Something about it whispers “robots in disguise” (slogan from Transformers)

Amazing lug design

And the fonts are nice on the silvery chariot of an Offshore. Wow!

As next year is a key anniversary year for the Offshore, your post will definitely spark the imagination for potential future releases and reissues?!? I must say - my first AP was a Beast, and at that time I had a choice of getting a Daytona or a Beast ov...

Very good choice

I have an observation which needs more observation to solidify. The earlier collectors who bought the offshores were a different market segment (psychographics) from that of today. I have a hunch that the older batches 1993-Early 2000’s were purchased by ...

Interesting observation

I can only speak for myself and the community back then to a certain extent. Yes - I don't feel a lot of APs were as popular as other fine watches, but those in the know had an elevated sense of accomplishment and can pull it off with an equal sense of st...

Just 1 favorite? GULP. I can't do it!! (ironically, while most parents say they could never choose a favorite child, I think I could do that very easily!! LOL...) The tantalum bezeled watch from Monochrome is an old SIncere edition. There were 2 dials off...

I like the RBII in titanium because it looks like a starwars racing ship (like those Anakin Skywalker used to race). And the rubberclad too. Those are unconventional in the use of rubber in the bezel. Those were the days, when I could really see people we...

From your experiences, how does FC or CF hold up on ROOs? I see threads online about how the FC wear down on older bumblebees. Would normal sheeted CF be more durable and less susceptible to such wear and tear compared to forged carbon?
