The Audemars Piguet Hutiiėme is a nice watch.
The prices are reasonable too.
The size is just perfect, because not a very old model.

Audemars Piguet unusual shaped cases.

I discovered most of them when Audemars Piguet released the Code 11.59. Alas, I know almost nothing about them. But I find this cases diversity very interesting. Here we go. The John Schaeffer star wheel minute repeater is something! ( Credit Christies ) ...

Some unusual case designs there. I love that star wheel.

Not really an unusual case but something different and rarely seen I tried on a few years back I think it called Le Ferrari. ...

Never saw that one!

AP has an impressive history…

 By: ArmisT : January 14th, 2023-12:27
but to many in the current generation, AP is all about the Royal Oak and it’s derivatives. I don’t know what years all the pieces you posted are from, but I expect most are pre-RO introduction.

Here it is, at a quick search it looks like this is AP Ref. 5159 with case designed by Crosier, produced in only 7 pieces between 1960 and 61....here's a picture from an AP museum site:

It would be nice to dig deeper into this topic --- definitely a very interesting and little-explored one! ...

Well done, Sherlock!

Do you know the reference of the one with the spiral pattern on the dial?

The third? No, alas.

Not very attractive 🤭, how about their remaster0x series? I always thought the 5516 would be reborn soon.

5516?

 By: amanico : January 14th, 2023-17:18

I guess if ap would have a plan for the [re]Master02..

 By: saintseiyaikki : January 15th, 2023-00:26
Their perpetual calendar 5516 could be a good choice🤔

Ah, now I get it.

The AP cushion cases…

 By: mdg : January 14th, 2023-18:22
…are some of the best I’ve ever seen…bring them back!!!

I do love that Disco Volante chronograph.

 By: TheMadDruid : January 15th, 2023-00:46
You know, I got here on a disco volante.

We from Proxima Centauri call it that.

 By: TheMadDruid : January 15th, 2023-11:27
You were correct.

LOL!!!

Those are spectacular yet very elegant specimens! Were they commissioned pieces?

 By: Volney. : January 16th, 2023-20:53
That's even more interesting, considering the relatively low production numbers in those years.

Both are perhaps my favorite among those.

Me too!
