I have been wanting to photograph this watch for quite some time. First serious effort at a close up of this special movement, with some editing. Although it does not get much wrist time and I nearly let it go, I am glad I didn't. Have a great weekend. ...

Thanks. I am on it. Since you posted that impossible photo of the Lange chronograph movement, I have rekindled with the old macro. I will post them as I go along. Hagwe. Benjamin

Great picture

My pleasure. I am trying to get a decent view of the rolling rubies beneath the rotor, but so far they have been quite elusive.

I'm sorry these aren't better -- they come from a watch I worked on early in my training -- and it had had a very hard life before it arrived on my bench. Here the rotor is removed, and you can see the 4 ruby rollers, each retained by 2 screws and a small...

Thank you very much Cazalea

And I am extremely impressed that you got it running. In a way your photos and your reviving of that Vacheron are a testimony in themselves. Even in that condition, after such careless treatment, the movement in your photos exudes quality and the final ou...

It is a special piece indeed. Unfortunately I can not wear it for very long, but it is a beautiful watch with a great movement.

Great picture 👍, Benjamin!

I quite like your photo. I am not sure if the glass on the AP gets anti-reflective treatment. In your photo, the PP glass is invisible, but not so on the AP. Taking decent photos of the dial is proving a major challenge. It reflects every bit of light tha...

Here is the dial side of my well-used RO. In the end... I could not let it go. Best. Benjamin. ...
