It’s outrageous that they didn’t fit on the bezel correctly and even worse that nobody noticed it before it was handed back to you. Even your AD should have noticed it.

To polish, or not to polish...

 By: toxly347 : February 11th, 2020-08:56
I have read WPS, sometimes very often, for a long time, since it was Purists Pro, and I have noticed that some collectors prefer not to polish their watches so they acquire patina, whereas others prefer a light or even a full polish. I am posting a sequen...

Looks awesome [nt]

Looks like

 By: Jurry : February 11th, 2020-09:41
It almost looks like they’ve messed it up the first time judging by the picture from the bezel. If so, it’s only appropriate they replaced it at no costs. And although that may sound great, I’m questioning their quality control. After they executed the wo...

Bezel polish?

 By: gmark2800 : February 11th, 2020-13:14
The bezel is in the wrong orientation but I wonder if the bezel was also polished in the that orientation so the only option was a new bezel..

Very interesting

I was not aware that the polishing had to be done in a certain direction, but it does make total sense. Thank you.

Bezel..

Whatever happened with the bezel, I did not question AP quality controls. They have been around producing excellent watches for so long that I was only upset for a few weeks and decided not to ask too much. I was a little upset at the beginning but the pu...

I’m glad you’re happy with the end result.

But another shameful service done by one of the most prestigious brands. Sims like care is not an art practiced anymore... sadly not a rare occurrence. The watch is awesome nevertheless!

Totally agree with my fellow purists

It’s shameful that they sent the watch in that state after service the first time round . QC failing miserably. Hope you received a decent apology for this oversight ! Gorgeous watch by the way 😍

Your last picture looks great

Bad experience ending well - nice AP that is living an active life!

Thank you [nt]

I find it so hard to believe a factory AP service center could do that.

Which one did you send it to? I'm highly curious. Glad the end result is OK, this is a phenomenal watch, but you never should have received that back with the bezel incorrectly mounted. Beyond shocking and disappointing.

AP Spain

In a way, it is an astonishing oversight. However, the winder -that had also died and had been sent with the watch for repair- was found not repairable and AP Spain found me an exact match, again at no cost. We see incredible mistakes happen in our profes...

Not right bezel !!!

 By: LiviuO : April 18th, 2020-13:31
please corect me if I am wrong but it seems to me that that part is not from your watch....it must be some other model of AP....you cannot fix that position by rotating the bezel due to its angles. SORRY....I SAW AFTER POSTING THAT IS FROM THE WINDER SIDE...

Hi Liviou

The part is correct for the watch. The correction pushers on the 3 side are wider apart than on the 9 side, hence the mismatch. The photo shown with the mismatch is the 9 side. I can not recall the exact price, but full service with polishing plus the del...

Superb watch!

Always have a soft spot for RO Perpetual! And this to me is one of the most attractive one! Cheers Sam
