It depends on the shape and size of your wrist. For me, the 39 was better.

I have the 14500 and feel that 41mm worked better for me. That said, I get the appeal of the 39mm. Mines taken a beating thru the yrs ...
I do like the 41mm case. But the visual proportions on a base model are better on the 39mm.
Chronograph, I am more torn. The extra dial real estate on the 41mm is appreciated.
