I don't know what to think of this collaboration. We all know that Iron man/ Downey Jr seems to be a real watch lover (Urwerk on his wrist), but is AP going to introduce an Iron man dial on its RO,as I've seen somewhere on instagram? I hope it won't happe... 

I am expecting a very cool and new timepiece, not a normal Oak or Offshore with a new dial and logo.

A dial might be the same color as the uniform of the character. Green for the Hulk, red and yellow for Iron Man, red, white and blue for Captain America, etc. A similar approach could be taken with straps. The character could be engraved on the case back.... 

Like you, Michael, I am not really a Marvel universe guy, but I AM very interested to see what this collaboration will yield. There is so much potential for something special to come out of this partnership. I do not anticipate anything along the lines of... 

One things is for sure, AP has a way of picking up on the details and bringing them to the front. Montoya, Barrichello, Grand Prix, Alinghi - these are watches no other brand came up with at the level AP did. While I have no idea how many watches might co... 

I think the Millenary line or a completely new design would be fun to see. As long as its uber modern and hi-tech in design and materials it will be great, just worried the results aren't too kitschy.

Of note, during the live event it was specifically clarified that the collaboration is between Marvel Comics and not Marvel Studios. This means no product placement in films or anything to do with their marketing. There are many lesser known characters in... 

Depending on the duration of the collaboration, I could see a timepiece released from various AP collections. No reason they all need to be the same.

I think there is incredible potential with this particular collaboration - that maintains the audacity, avant garde, and exclusivity of the brand whilst connecting with a passionate fanbase. It's clear Marvel and Disney will continue to invest and maximis... 

I have posted it countless times, I will never fault a business for doing things to help their business. This collaboration has much potential.

I am really excited to see what comes from this collaboration and am sure we can expect something truly extraordinary.
