In my case the brand was Panerai, and the dealer, I won't name.

I have never purchased anything from that store since.

Here are some 2019 novelties of APโ€™s RO and ROO lines that I find particularly interesting.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 12th, 2019-15:05
More details and additional novelties can be found on APโ€™s website. Most notably, 15400 will be replaced with 15500 which showcases a new inhouse movement. My absolute favorite is, of course, the Jumbo in WG with salmon dial (limited to 75 pieces only). ๐Ÿ˜‰...

Yes if it is a boutique only like the other one (and Iโ€™m sure it will be).

I might trade my standard 15202 in for it....although....that blue dial is very nice as well! ...

Itโ€™s a boutique exclusive, yes.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 12th, 2019-15:30
That 15202ST is a keeper!

Yes I see now

75 pcs in white gold only

Could have been, but:

...

How about the jubilee edition in ss limited 300 pieces.

 By: Mineral : January 13th, 2019-06:34
The jubilee ss is easier to find. ...

Also very nice

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 13th, 2019-06:36
Is that salmon dial color the same as the white gold one? That one seems a bit darker or is it just the picture?

Haha what I mean the ss was produced in 300 pieces

 By: Mineral : January 14th, 2019-00:22
Whereas the new salmon jumbo only 75 pieces only

+1 Arie, top ! [nt]

 By: tombub : January 13th, 2019-00:48

Yes, but the IP is limited to 250 and this one to 75 only.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 12th, 2019-15:37
This means that there will be only one for the German boutiques if not zero. Letโ€™s see.

I hope youโ€™ll get one [nt]

The WG 15202 is superb. I prefer it to last year's platinum model.

 By: MichaelC : January 12th, 2019-15:59
I said I would not trade my steel for the platinum. But for this one? Maybe! (OK, probably not, I am a steel guy).

Itโ€™s stunning indeed. Canโ€™t wait to see it live next week at SIHH.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 12th, 2019-16:05
Iโ€™m pretty sure that the dial color looks different in real life.

Thanks, Michael.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 13th, 2019-06:02
Yes, but this one will be really difficult to get.

Funny thing is that I told the AP rep last month

 By: JerryW : January 13th, 2019-06:15
That I wish they would make a WG 15202. The piece is stunning but the last thing I wanted to read was that it is another boutique only piece, guess I will not be buying one. I hate to say it but as big of a fan of AP that I have been for over 20 years I t...

Fully understandable, Jerry.

 By: MichaelC : January 13th, 2019-07:46
The irony of course is many of the great dealers are largely responsible for building the brands. And then they get their lines pulled, it is really unfair. I experienced the other side of the coin from one local dealer in particular. I supported them for...

quick, convenient and volatile is the nature of all new relationships. Hard to genrealize but these tertiary celebrities/athletes are now responsible for major brand turnover. So who made who is questionable...

 By: redcorals : January 13th, 2019-09:06
... When you start writing names of celebrities next to your brand it tells you these celebrities are now bigger than some these brands.

In my case the brand was Panerai, and the dealer, I won't name.

I have never purchased anything from that store since.

Two orders placed so far.......

 By: Conkers : January 12th, 2019-19:37
........could be another expensive week!

He he he... WG Salmon? [nt]

 By: amanico : January 13th, 2019-01:24

That's the one!

 By: Geo : January 13th, 2019-08:35
And without sweep seconds and colored date window, it is the first Royal Oak that I really love. GEO

The Jumbo salmon is superb ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

 By: Watcholic_id : January 12th, 2019-22:37
If only itโ€™s not limited piece. Cheers

They only have a limited number of 2121 movements available per year.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 13th, 2019-00:35
In 2019, they need to cover the regular steel and gold versions plus 100 remaining pieces of the IP. Thatโ€™s probably the reason. But I also had hoped for some more. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Not really fascinated with the novelties...

 By: Horology75 : January 12th, 2019-22:42
Yet again depriving collectors by issuing 75 pieces RO Limited Edition. Going in-house with 15500 is a good idea and I hope the price points are not moved . Wish they had replaced it with 40mm Royal Oak instead ...

75 is a very low number indeed.

 By: Pretty Boy : January 13th, 2019-00:37
No message body

Again if AP then Oak :)

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : January 13th, 2019-01:21
Based on novelties they can change name from AP to RO ... salmon is great but frosted purple is most interesting...I would like to see than in metal. Cheers D

That grey ceramic ROO ... Ghost has a serious contender or more of a big brother really so to speak. It was one of my fears last yr that what if ...

Grey ceramic case with sandblasted titanium pushpiece guards and a grand prix rotor. Grey ceramic case with sandblasted titanium pushpiece guards and a grand prix rotor. cant wait! ...

I'm not usually a fan of superfluous dial text but...

 By: logan2z : January 13th, 2019-05:06
Removing 'Automatic' from the dial seems to have left the 15500 looking a bit empty/unbalanced. The new movement also seems to have fattened up the case a little bit. I think I prefer my 15400. Love the grey ceramic chronograph, though.

The 'AP' logo and hour markers seem to have put on a few pounds too..

 By: logan2z : January 13th, 2019-05:55
And the larger movement has pushed the date right to the edge of the dial. The watch seems to have lost some of it's elegance IMHO.

Salmon RO

 By: esotericjunkie : January 13th, 2019-18:52
I am glad that I recently go a new 15400 white dial. Shame on AP for limiting the salmon color dial
