Yes MZ to some extent when you talk about the design- and they did hit a golden spot that everyone is trying to copy and no one can.

However on the horological front they have moved quite i bit since then and they are still up there at the front.
Still breaking the rules with the ultrathin perpetual and concept flying tourbillon for example.

I will probably regret this forever. But somethings in life are just like that and decision is made. Going through the final cleaning and box and papers dusting and checking before my appointment today with the dealer taking it in commission. ...

Thanks Nico.

It’s just the way things are now, there is not a long way up to the RO QP which is the master plan. What do you think about the new QP? ...

😅thanks Nicolas [nt]

It will be like this high school sweetheart you could never get out of your head.

What’s gonna replace it?

 By: Lankysudanese : March 9th, 2020-04:04
Bc that is hella-gorgeous

I’m going for the newest QP Lanky

 By: jlc.thomsen : March 9th, 2020-08:44
At least that is the master plan

The Rd2? Ultrathin??? [nt]

Just the regukar one with the week numbers

 By: jlc.thomsen : March 9th, 2020-09:26
I love week numbers. Ultrathin would be nice too BTW

Oh that’s very nice too.

I’d do the trade of the 15202st for that; no hesitations. Good luck

Thanks Fabr

Yes i did. It is THE watch of the century ( the 20th). I’m no saying I won’t get another 15202 down the line at all. ...

Clever ad. [nt]

Hi Pretty Boy.

Yes, I thought I wanted to share the decision and the last farewell with my friends here as it is a controversial one. It wasn’t easy

This probably sounds crazy but...

Stand in front of a mirror and see how it appears. I find a mirror image can create an impression very different from an eyes on view. Looking at it the way other people see it may change your mind.

Hi Chico

Yes this is a good way of trying a watch too. I did that with a “small” Rolex DJ to find out it wasn’t really small, it’s just the habit of looking at larger watches.

Hope you’ll get good dollars for it

As this piece is seldom and your dealer should have sold it in less then a week

Well said Janef

The master plan is this guy ...

Thanks for your input Pun

 By: jlc.thomsen : March 9th, 2020-09:36
And I do get you point. Master plan v 2.0 is to have both of course 😊. And I also think AP make a great job doing busy dials. Are you mostly a time only person? Or do you prefer more innovative perpetuals with less busy dials like the Divine from FPJ or H...

Do what you love more.

 By: Pun : March 9th, 2020-09:28
The dial of Perpetual is too crowded to my taste. The original RO is a clean classic. No comparison for me.

Thanks Janef

Looks like we are reading the same books. Cheers back to you.

Got it Ted. Thanks. [nt]

I know and I understand completely

It’s been a long process and it is not done lighthearted.

You do what you gotta go. I don't think AP makes a finer reference than the 15202ST.

 By: MichaelC : March 10th, 2020-19:55
Bur I would never pay the current market price for one either. Look forward to seeing the replacement.

Thanks Michael!

Yes I agree to some extent. Nothing can beat the aura and completeness of the 15202-But in some ways we are also saying that AP has not evolved since 1972 by saying that it’s their best watch ever if you get my point.

Isn't that true, though?

 By: MZHammer : April 15th, 2020-21:19
AP really has been stagnant in design since the Royal Oak. They've relied almost exclusively on the Royal oak, variants like the ROC and perpetuals, the beefed up Royal Oak Offshore and even the new Code 11:59s have to point back to the Royal Oak with the...

If you can geht an affordable PC, do it!

Good one jkvs

Yes the PC is a killer ...
